> v56.spark is an open, shared database for AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) innovation. It records products, materials and design solutions alongside what is claimed about them, the evidence on record, and how the industry scores them — so practitioners can research and weigh innovation honestly instead of taking marketing at face value. ## What it is

- An open catalogue of AEC building innovation: products, materials, structural and environmental systems, and design solutions.
- For each record it shows three things side by side: the claim (what the maker asserts), the evidence on record, and the view from the industry.
- Spark never hands down a verdict. It structures the evidence so the reader reaches their own.

## How records are scored

- Every record carries an InnDex: a 0 to 100 read on how proven it is.
- InnDex (AI): generated automatically from the evidence on record and real-world deployment. It moves as new proof surfaces.
- InnDex (Community): compounds the scores practitioners submit from real use. When the AI and community reads converge, that is consensus.
- Evidence states attach to each claim: Claimed (asserted by the maker), Provided (evidence submitted and on record), Refuted (challenged by the community or contradicted by other evidence).
- Vindex: products are read on proof because they are built; a design solution or early idea is read forward on the value it could bring if pursued. The Vindex drives a simpler badge — Trust it, Watch it, Dream about it.

## Scope

In scope (physical building innovation only): materials and building products; structural systems and building fabric; HVAC and environmental strategies; sustainability and low-carbon systems; acoustic, lighting and MEP; building envelope and facades.

Out of scope: project management software; BIM and design tools; construction delivery methods; planning and regulatory frameworks; procurement and supply chain; funding and grant schemes.
